ISdAC user database
What is the ISdAC user database?
First of all, ISdAC’s user database is a database where we try to
gather as much persons with different disabilities as possible. On top
of that, these persons have one common characteristic: one way or another
they all make use of information and communication technologies. So all
of our members have some (limited) knowledge and experience in the area
of ICT in general and use of the internet in particular.
How does it work?
We accurately store the data of all registered users in our database.
If suppliers, producers or web designers contact us in order to ask if
we could test a product or website with regard to its accessibility and
user friendliness, we search our database for suitable test users. Next
we contact the test users in question and check if they wish to participate
in this test. If they are interested, we take care of the further contacts
between supplier/producer, web designer and test user. If the test user
does not wish to cooperate, then it’s no problem either. Registration
with our database doesn’t mean that every test user is automatically
supposed to take part in every test. Participation is completely free
of any obligations. Each test user always receives a fee for his expenses
for every test completed.
What is the purpose of this database?
The principal goal that we want to achieve with this database is to stimulate
the contact between disabled persons on the one hand, and producers/suppliers
of ICT- assistive devices and web designers on the other hand. Suppliers,
producers and web designers can come to us if they want their products
or websites tested by user experts regarding their accessibility or user
friendliness. We offer people with a disability the possibility to share
their knowledge, demonstrate their possibilities and inform us about the
obstacles being encountered on the net.
Why a database for test users?
Within the framework of European projects where we are involved as partner
association, our organisation has, cooperated several times at different
tests. (More information on this can be found on our projects page.) Our
task was to coordinate the test and find a number of test users. We have
started an internet search in order to find disabled persons willing to
test the presented internet applications with regard to their accessibility
and user friendliness. Because the search for test users takes a lot of
time, we want to start this test user database. This way we always have
potential test users available and can build a network of experts.
Who can register at our database?
Every disabled person, regardless of his type of disability, who has any
(limited) knowledge and experience in the field of ICT and/ or the usage
of the internet may register himself free of obligations and without any
restrictions, as a test user.
How can you register?
If you are interested in our project and want to register for our database,
please fill in the registration

without your consent. If you are already a registered user, please
